We can’t say enough good things about our stay at this property. You won’t find a place with a better view near Pāhoa- we watched the waves for hours each day and were lucky to see whales close in, turtles, and a swell with waves powerful enough to shake the house. There is a wonderful deck to enjoy, but the views are just as stunning from the kitchen, dining area, and living area. At night, be sure to step out and enjoy the bright stars as well.
The house itself is lovely. The beds in every room are incredibly comfortable with high quality bedding. Kitchen has everything you need for meals and serving. Layout was perfect for our family with two teenagers in tow – everyone had their own space. The laundry in the garage was convenient and the washer and dryer were new and worked wonderfully. Wi-fi was strong and reliable throughout our stay, so it was easy to work and for the teens to do schoolwork.
Melissa and Carolyn were great with pre-stay communications and making sure we were settled in. Genuine Aloha. And much Mahalo.
The property itself is in a friendly, quiet neighborhood. There is a lovely walk along the shoreline with two small parks. The new black sand beach formed from the 2018 lava flow is a short drive and hike- and we visited it several times. Day trips to Volcanos (went to see the lava glow!) and other beaches/hikes on the island were easy with beautiful scenery along the way.
