We had a wonderful stay at Carolyn’s home in Pahoa. The location is absolutely fantastic. We loved listening to the sounds of the waves crashing so close. Her home is also so perfectly clean. Communication was easy and thorough with the caretaker, Melissa. She was always available to answer questions via text. We appreciated her recommendations for things to do around the area. We really enjoyed Kaleo’s restaurant in Pahoa. The several house rules were a bit intimidating at first, but the expectations are all reasonable. No AC was not an issue for us with the ceiling fans on and windows open. We would highly recommend Carolyn’s house! It was a great location for spending an entire day at Volcano National Park and other attractions like the black sand beach, Akaka Falls, and Rainbow Falls. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
