I was very impressed and really felt like I was on a special vacation when we opened the refrigerator and found a small cooler bag with Hawaiian treats. There were 4 chilled glasses and a welcome bottle of champagne-it made us feel invited. Little things like thick towels, a boogie board and sand toys were very nice. Dawn for the kitchen sink and Tide pods for the wash instead of cheap generics were supplied. Even a real orchid on the patio with very nice Hibiscus deferring from the parking lot and a garden view from the master suite. Grills were at the nearby pool. A pleasant path leads you to Poipu Beach. It is very close to Long’s drug store and a preppy shopping/eatery area. Snorkeling at Lawai, 0.7 miles down the road we saw a seal sunning itself and a sea turtle eating off the ocean floor. There are not many air conditioned units, but this unit has one and it was appreciated. The roosters get very loud if your windows are open all night.
