Our accommodations at The Shores was a well decorated comfortable condo with ample space and a lovely balcony/patio. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere in the evenings when we could sit on the balcony and admire the well-manicured property and the star-filled sky. Having a washer and dryer in the unit along with a full kitchen came in very handy. The complex has a centrally located pool and spa and 2 very scenic golf courses. It was nice to have several shops and restaurants close by and we made good use of those amenities. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at The Shores and hope to make it back there in the future.
I would add that the location is ideal for walking to the Hilton and the Marriott beaches and bars and had we wanted to, Roy’s and the Lava Lava Beach Club. The fact that there is a ‘discount’ on the local golf is an added bonus. It’s close enough, too, for trips to helicopter tour, drive to Mauna Kea, and the fabulous local beaches. Having beach towels and chairs for the guests to use? BONUS! I would heartily recommend this place to others and echo the comment that we would definitely consider staying here again, next time! It was really hard to tear ourselves away from the place.
