We loved the location, just across the street from lava cliffs overlooking the ocean. About 25 minutes from Hilo and 45 minutes from the visitor center at Hawaii Volcano National Park, it is convenient yet out of the way. Pleasant walks to Kaloli Point or Maku’u point on days you don’t feel like driving. The beach park across the street can get noisy in the late afternoon or early evening, but usually quiets down when it gets dark.
