We went as a group of four – My husband & I who have returned to Mahina Surf many times due to the location, the stunning beauty, and relaxation found here – & our friends who have never been on vacation for 2 weeks or to Maui.
Let’s just say it was the best vacation we all have had. We did so many things, checked out Front St.; Haleakala; Circumnavigate Lana’i; Pearl Harbor (took a day flight to Oahu); Paddleboarded; Road to Hana; snorkeled Kapalua, Honolua, Oluwalu; checked out the awesome surfers at Ho’okipa as well as enjoying the surfers just up the road at S-Turns. Farmers market and the Fish Market were visited quite often as well.
With all the activity we did the trip was awesome… Our most favorite part of any day was having this amazing condo at Mahina Surf with views that go beyond welcoming you, a great lay out we all had more than enough space to chill/ recharge on your own if needed & plenty space for the four of us to hang out. The kitchen is sweet!! Fairly stocked with most things and as people stay the collection of spices grows which is always a treat. Maybe not important for everyone but I loved the little stereo system under the stairs – just plugged in the phone and had tunes any time needed. The weather was wetter than usual (just one of those years from what it sounds like) but that did not stop us. We spent a good few hours enjoying the awesome pool while it poured – so much fun! Not like the old roll in the snow hop in the hot tub trick but the difference between the rain and the pool water made it a super fun time. The pool on a clear night after the sun goes down is hard to pass up – so many stars and the water is so warm. The BBQ area is phenomenal – Oceanfront & you get to mingle with the people staying at the complex. If you want to see turtles many times a day, year round this place is fantastic for it. Always such a joy seeing the turtle crew hanging out. If you’re there during “winter” there is no better place to be in the quiet of the morning than on your lanai drinking coffee & eating breakfast. The show the whales put on is fantastic & never gets old. No matter how many times you’ve seen a whale breach it still so hard to contain your excitement.
We did not want to leave the condo (Or Maui for that matter). We had so much fun and can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your slice of paradise… Hope it will be available for us again soon. Aloha
