This unit is outstanding value. It is huge and was awesome for our family of five (2 adults and 3 children age 8-12). We stayed 13 nights but could easily have stayed longer. Wonderful clean rooms, two bedrooms with air con which we never needed (also a ceiling fan in all rooms). The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have ever stayed at! you will not find a single utensil missing- apart from a wok they have everything.
We are light sleepers but had no problems here. Yes you can hear people walking around upstairs but this was not an issue (most people are out during the day) and it’s a quiet property where people go to bed at decent times. No noise issues whatsoever.
It’s an end unit, so only one next-door neighbour (a lovely lady who is a resident).
BBQ right at the pool was always clean.
The pool is fantastic for kids, warm and overlooking the beach and ocean.
This unit has a cupboard full of beach gear (boogie boards, snorkels, reef shoes, jandals, flippers etc) left behind by previous guests. It also has coolers, Netflix, three TVs and two separate bathrooms, each with shower.
The unit is away from the busy street, we had no traffic noise whatsoever. Yet it’s very centrally located on the East coast of Kauai with easy access to the main road.
I had a stroll up the beach and saw the numerous other resorts lined up, and it became quite clear that Lanikai is a bit of a safe, quiet haven compared to often noisy resorts further along.
The on site manager(s) were fantastic with excellent communication and helpfulness.
If we ever come back to Kauai this is where we will stay. And I’m not just saying that to make it sound good. We absolutely loved it and will cherish our memory of staying here for a long time. Mahalo mahalo!
