I would like to start by saying that this is the third visit to Kauai by my family. Our first stay was at a hotel which was fine at the time since our children were younger. Second stay was in a condo in Princeville which was very nice, with 2 bedrooms, with our children sharing the second bedroom with twin beds. This stay, hands down, has to be the best stay ever. The house has a master bedroom upstairs which is really rather large with a nice bathroom and ample storage. Our children are both in their early 20’s and each had their own bedroom downstairs with their own bathrooms. It doesn’t get any better than that. We were able to spend time together upstairs as a family but could also have our own space. The house is very spacious and the décor is up to date, which is a must for me. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. We were on Kauai for 11 days and ended up eating out only 5 times. We cooked most meals at the house and enjoyed the ability to eat at a relaxing pace and not have to get “cleaned up” and take a drive to eat out. That wasn’t our original intention but pretty sure we saved quite a bit by eating in. The one thing that I think is a disservice in the ad is the view from the lanai on the front of the house doesn’t truly show off the view. From the pictures you can tell there is a little bit of a view of the water but you can’t really see the view of the mountains. That was one of my favorite parts was walking out on the lanai to that view everyday. If you are not familiar with Princeville there is a walkway along the main road coming in that goes alongside a golf course. I quite enjoyed my walks to either the entrance in one direction or to the coast (St Regis) in the other direction. If you decided to walk to the entrance it only takes about 30 minutes walking and there are quite a number of shops, restaurants and grocery store. All in all, this trip and this house rank up there as my favorite vacation.
