We are here(Kaapa Sands, unit 9) right now. We rented this place from July 20th, 2018 to July 29th, 2018. I’ve been to a lot of countries (Europe, Asia, USA etc) and it seems like it’s the best place I’ve ever rented for the money that we spent! Oceanfront views of Wailua Bay, 10 steps from a small, uncrowded beach – it’s magic. Apartment #9 is like brand new and has absolutely EVERYTHING you may need: full-size fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, blender, coffee machine, toaster, all types of plates and glasses, brand new beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels etc. Location is great! Best pastry shop on the east coast of the island – 2 min walk, best sushi – also here. You can WALK to the very nice Lava Lava Beach Club for a drink or two (they have a very solid mai-tai). Hell, you could swim to it from the apartment if you wanted to work up some hunger.
Communication with the staff has been great. The one minor issue we had (a broken kitchen cabinet door) was resolved quickly and without fuss.
The apartment does not have an AC, but that has not been an issue at all with the pleasant ocean breeze and ceiling fan. Eating our meals (which we on the balcony looking onto the bay, listening to the sounds of the surf), almost private beach. What else could you ask for?
