This property was perfect for our family of four. It is 5 minutes to the Volcano’s National Park entrance and close to several restaurants in Volcano Village. The house was a bit musty but that isn’t uncommon with rentals I’ve used on the islands before. The air is so fresh that after the windows are opened, it clears it right up. You do have to take your trash to the transfer station, the closest one was not going to be open on the day we needed to take it so we found one about 7 miles away in Glenwood/Mt View that was open Tu/Fri/Sat right off Old Volcano Rd. We used the Foodland in Keaau for our groceries and that worked out well, it is almost halfway between Hilo and Volcano and easy to get to. Overall I would recommend this vacation property.
