I wish someone had told us sooner that Anini Beach is far and away the best beach in Hawaii, that the water is Caribbean calm, that you can snorkel and see exotic fish starting the second you dip your goggles in. We spent the first week of our honeymoon at a slightly more rustic spot on the Wailua River and once we arrived here, we kicked ourselves because we instantly felt like THIS is what a honeymoon is supposed to feel like. The house is gorgeously appointed – and as newlyweds we learned our first traveling lesson together, as adventurous and easy-going as we are, it turns out we like fancy. Turns out “fancy” is a lot more romantic… This place has everything, it all feels brand new and once we arrived, we cooked every meal there because we didn’t want to leave again. And once we return we know exactly where we’ll be staying.
